Concrete Finisher

Reporting to: Concrete or Site Foreman

Job Summary:

Required to perform a variety of tasks including placing, finishing, protecting and repairing concrete.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Aid in the pouring and finishing process at all stages
  • Operate a screed to level freshly place concrete according to grade and depth specification
  • Smooth concrete surface using proper tools
  • Cut joint/grooves in concrete with edging tools to help control cracking
  • Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
  • Monitor the wind, heat and cold for impact during the curing process
  • Other tasks as required

Abilities & Skills Required:

  • Preference will be given to those candidates with 3 or more years of relevant experience
  • Must have good vision, stamina, good hand eye coordination and an ability to estimate size and dimension
  • Skilled in smoothing, finishing freshly place concrete, applying surface treatments and restoring concrete surfaces
  • Required to perform tasks that include heavy lifting
  • Must be able to work outside in a variety of environments
  • Work overtime hours as needed

Landscape Foreman

Reporting to: Project Manager/Company Management

Job Summary:

Schedule and coordinate field operations including managing crews, equipment, materials, time, scope and safety on all projects.  This position will be in both commercial and residential fields.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with project managers to schedule and direct job site
  • Manage and coordinate materials and supplies needed for the project
  • Maintain close professional and open lines of communication with management, crew, clients, subcontractors and the public
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, bylaws, regulation and act
  • Organize and manage operational activates to ensure projects are built to proper production rates, schedules, crew & manpower sizes, material quantities, and plans & specifications
  • Maintain resource schedule
  • Coordinate and be accountable for the ordering of site materials
  • Daily collection and submission of timesheets and associated paper work to the office
  • Proper utilization of equipment to minimize repair and maximize production
  • Maintain our company image

Abilities & Skills Required:

  • Preference will be given to those candidates with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrate time management and leadership skills
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks that need to be completed in a timely manner
  • May be required to perform tasks that include heavy lifting
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the field and stages of production
  • Knowledge of equipment is considered an asset
  • A valid driver’s license would be considered an asset

Maintenance Foreman

Reporting to: Site Foreman and Management

Job Summary:

Responsible for coordinating and supervising our in-house maintenance crew for residential and commercial contracts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and assist maintenance crew on both residential and commercial sites
  • Mowing lawn, weeding planting beds…
  • Maintain close professional and open lines of communication with management, crew, clients, subcontractors and the public
  • Pruning trees on job sites when needed
  • Maintain contract schedules to ensure work is completed in a timely manner
  • Daily collection and submission of timesheets and associated paper work to the office
  • Proper utilization of equipment to minimize repair and maximize production
  • Inspect equipment for any repairs or maintenance needed
  • Assist with snow removal during the winter months
  • Maintain our company image

Abilities & Skills Required:

  • Preference will be given to those candidates with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • A Class 5 Drivers License
  • A clean driver’s abstract will be requested of all applicants
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Possession of an Arborist ticket would be considered an asset
  • Demonstrate time management and leadership skills
  • Must perform tasks that include heavy lifting
  • Knowledge of all equipment used is considered an asset

Equipment Operator

Reporting to: Company Management, Site Foreman & Safety Officer

Job Summary:

Operate heavy equipment (Trachoe, Bobcat, Mini-Dig and Loader) in a safe and effective manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy equipment in a safe and effective way
  • Fine grading and finishing, sloping and banking, backfilling and sub-grade excavating
  • Perform regular maintenance and safety checks on equipment and submit reports to Safety Officer
  • Advise Foreman if any maintenance or repairs are needed
  • Fill out necessary paperwork and time sheets are completed and verified by Foreman and submitted to the office in a timely manner
  • Additional tasks as they arise

Abilities & Skills Required:

  • Preference will be given to those candidates with a valid driver’s license
  • A minimum 3 years experience is considered an asset
  • A keen attention to detail and the ability to follow directions closely are needed
  • Required to perform tasks that include heavy lifting
  • Must be able to work outside in a variety of environments

Gravel Truck Driver

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Overtime, Weekend, Day

Salary: $ 25.00 to $ 30.00 Hourly, 40.00 Hours per week

Reporting to: Company Management, Site Foreman & Safety Officer

Job Summary:

Operate multi-axel trucks in a safe and effective manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all road rules and regulations are followed
  • Loading and unloading of goods
  • Oversee of condition of vehicle and inspect tires, light, brakes and other equipments
  • The driver will be responsible for any and all road violations that are issued as a result of their actions
  • A clean driver’s abstract will be requested of all applicants
  • Perform regular maintenance and safety check on trucks and submit reports to Safety Officer
  • Pick-up and deliver materials to job sites
  • Advise Foreman of any needed maintenance or repairs
  • Fill out necessary paperwork and time sheets are completed and verified by Foreman and submitted to the office in a timely manner
  • Additional tasks as they arise

Abilities & Skills Required:

  • Preference will be given to those candidates with a Class 1 drivers license
  • A Class 3, with air license will also be considered
  • A minimum 2 years experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of height and weight restrictions on city streets
